Minoxidil Foam or Liquid Solution? Is one better than the other? We take a look at why there are two versions and try to help you decide which might be best for you! The Minoxidil 5% compound is exactly the same in both products, so why the two versions?
The second of the two Kirkland Minoxidil variations, the Foam was developed to overcome the mild irritation, sometimes experienced by men using the topical liquid form. The liquid solution contains a chemical called ‘propylene glycol’, which helps your skin absorb the active Minoxidil ingredient quicker. This is great, but it turns out some men are a little hypersensitive to propylene glycol, so the foam version with the propylene glycol removed was developed.
It has been commented that, although no evidence has been presented to conclusively back this up, some men see better results from the liquid solution.
Both foam and liquid solution contain the exact same 5% active ingredient, Minoxidil.
